The 2024 CriticalRiver OPEN Golf Tournament!

Spirit of CriticalRiver OPEN

As we work to make a positive difference for our clients, we also seek ways to enhance the communities we serve. One way we have found to make a difference is through our annual golf tournament. The idea behind this prestigious industry event, CriticalRiver OPEN, is to celebrate our trusted relationships with customers, partners, associates, and industry leaders. It provides visionary technologists and leaders an opportunity to unwind, compete, and win trophies, along with networking opportunities to build personal and professional connections. The event also provides a platform to do good and give back to the community.

And yes! The tournament is also an opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to our customers for making CriticalRiver a part of their growth journey.

Scramble/Contest Rules

  • Men hit from CriticalRiver logo-tees and ladies from red-tees. If you prefer, you can choose to hit from a longer tee.
  • The maximum score is double bogey per hole.
  • This is a non-handicapped competition.
  • Scramble Format
    • Everyone hits/putts (maximum 2-putt from green; if everyone misses the first putt, pick up the ball).
    • The team chooses the best-resulting ball location from everyone’s hits.
    • Everyone moves their ball to the best location chosen for their next hit.
    • Only one team score is recorded per hole.
    • Each team must use three tee shots from each player. Mark the play’s tee shot on the scorecard. (A MAXIMUM OF 5 PER PLAYER—this counts for par 3 holes, too; that’s why we said “tee” shot and not “drive”).
  • Play within the maximum of 15 minutes per hole; try to keep it under 10 minutes.
  • Each team can use a maximum of eight mulligans and two mulligans per player. A player cannot use more than two mulligans in the game. (The players should buy mulligans at registration, and the proceeds go to donations.)
  • Always respect PGA/LPGA play rules and posted golf course-specific limitations.

  1. “Closest-to-the-Pin” contest on a single designated par 3.
    • Only one Tee shot per player. Mulligans cannot be used for tee shots at this hole.
    • Only balls on green (not fringe) are to be measured.
    • If you think your ball is the closest so far, check the contest card for current leaders, measure yours with the supplied tape measure if it is the new closest, and record your name and measurement in the next slot on the card if it is the new closest. Both men and women participate in the same “Closest to Pin” contest.
    • We will collect the cards at the end of the day.
  2. “Longest Drive” contest
    • Only legal drives on the legal fairway are eligible. Mulligans cannot be used for tee shots at this hole.
    • If you hit your drive past the existing Longest Drive marker for your gender, record your name in the next slot on the contest card and move the contest marker or stake to the final resting location of your drive. Again, there are separate cards and markers for men’s and women’s players.
  3. “Hole-in-One” contest
    • Only one Tee shot per player. This hole prohibits the use of Mulligans for tee shots.
    • The official two witnesses at the hole must certify and sign the score sheet at the hole.
    • The witnesses will immediately inform the event coordinators about the winners.
