Transitioning from a student to a working professional can be both exciting and overwhelming. While student life has a structure as well as spontaneity, a professional setting is dynamic but routined. Most importantly, in an academic setting you will always find a guide, but in a workplace, you need to be resourceful and self-sufficient. But not all workplaces are as daunting as this sounds.

When Lotilou Grace Loresco, analyst at CriticalRiver Philippines, stepped out of her academic life, she was scared of taking on the responsibilities of a working professional.

“My world revolved around studying, so when that chapter ended, I felt overwhelmed,” she says.

What helped Lotilou was a bootcamp organized by CriticalRiver. “The bootcamp gave me a solid foundation before I joined my first project. It really helped me handle the tasks I now face with more confidence,” she says.
